ADVANCED FIRST LEGO LEAGUE

Overview

Age: Rising 6th-8th graders
Dates: August 18-22

In this program we will dive deeper into the skills needed to build and code a successful FIRST LEGO League (FLL) Robot. During this week, from 9am-4pm, we will introduce coding with variables and sensors while building a competition chassis with multiple attachments. We will also introduce skills such as CADing for LEGO, line following, gyro steering, power train construction, and other techniques that will greatly improve the reliability of and FLL robots and code. Each kid will be assigned one of Waring’s FLL robot kits and computers for a one-to-one robot to camper ratio in order to maximize learning and enjoyment. This program is a great place to learn new skills and to get the chance to work for a solid week on the newly released 2024-2025 FLL robot game. This is a great program for students who have already completed our Intro Program and/or who have done FLL before.
